Who is hiding behind 1320°?

My name is Cynthia, I am 29 years old and I have been working in ceramics for 4 years. I created my 1320° brand in 2020, when I started sharing my creations on Instagram. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my style immediately appealed. My activity has grown rapidly and today we are a small group of 3 people working in the workshop to create our unique pieces. 

 

What are your desires with Nunamae?

1320° is a brand of artisanal ceramics. We manufacture everything by hand in our workshop located in the South of France, in Perpignan. We offer utilitarian and decorative pieces: mugs, cups, plates, vases, etc. All in a fun universe (like BOOBS mugs and plant pots), and colorful, with lots of pastel colors.

What are your inspirations?

I draw my inspiration from the things that affect me on a daily basis. I like clean, round shapes, mixtures of textures, and pastel colors. My love for vintage is also reflected in my interior decoration, which is mainly made up of pieces found during my visits to flea markets. This aesthetic is reflected in my creations, where I like to work with speckled stoneware, which reminds me of the ceramics of the 70s/80s. Sometimes I add touches of gold to modernize my pieces and make them look like jewels.

 

Your favorite product?

At the moment, my favorite duo for creating a cozy and comforting atmosphere is the 1320° candle with its delicious scent of hazelnut praline, accompanied by a hot tea in my WINTER cup, with its pretty gradient of winter colours.

New projects soon?

I'm doing research to find new colors for my spring collection. The glazes are very intricate and fascinating. It takes a lot of work and trial and error to get the desired results. I focus my research mainly on two colors: a powder pink and a lilac, which will complete my palette of soft colors.

What is your favorite room in the house?

My favorite space in the house is undoubtedly the living room, a comfortable and welcoming place where I can relax and feel at ease. I love being surrounded by my cats, while enjoying the warmth and light of a fireplace.

Your cute sin in decoration?

Definitely the plants! I have them everywhere whether at home or in the workshop. They bring a touch of greenery and vitality, while creating a soothing atmosphere. I am a true enthusiast and take care of it with care.

Tell us about your latest decoration purchase?

My two latest finds to decorate my living room: a corner shelf that allowed me to hang a plant up high. I also fell for a poster with an inspirational quote that helps me keep a positive mindset and reminds me that small moments of motivation can have a big impact on my daily life.
