Pale Pendant Light, The Precious - Alabaster/Chalk
Georges Store becomes Centième, the eponymous brand of designer Mylène Niedzialkowski. With this new name, she marks a return to essentials: pieces handcrafted in small series, respecting artisanal savoir-faire and thoughtful consumption.
The iconic light fixture in its precious version. The "jewel-like" combination of brass and fabric in a floral and ethereal pendant.
To the clean lines of a teardrop-shaped petal, Pale adds a tribute to retro ceiling fans in louvered rooms. This pendant subtly plays with light, diffusing a soft clarity into the room and delicate shadow play on the ceiling. Its brass arches give it a full diameter (they do not fall back in a corolla shape) and can be layered, if desired, for a more contemporary version.
The precious Pale pendant is made at the Château de Méritein, the brand's Béarnese workshop. Each petal is entirely handcrafted from a brass arch onto which a cotton cheesecloth, hand-painted with a mixture of natural pigments, is stretched. All elements of the precious Pale pendant are sourced in France.
